IN MY MIND

When it comes to solidifying yourself in the world of music, art, or clothing, it is important to have a logo. A logo is not only supposed to look good, it is also supposed to portray a message that can tell a consumer everything about whatever you are doing without words. When you think people, who are iconic a name that comes to mind are Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Walt Disney. However, a name just as iconic is Michael Jordan, in conjunction with being an icon himself Jordan has also managed to create an iconic logo. The Jumpman logo works so well for two reasons, its simplicity and the way it solidified a point in time. As it applies to simplicity the Jumpman logo is nothing more than a silhouette of Jordan in a dunking position. Since the logo is a silhouette it allows it to be paired with any item Jordan produces such as jackets, shorts, and sandals effortlessly. For the final project, I have decided to make a business card/logo for the group I am in rather than one for myself. Off Air is a collective of creatives dedicated to exposing the world to art, music, and culture that has been deemed underground or different for many years. These cultures include Litefeet which is a style of dance that originated in New York and Triphop which is alternative rap music that employs the use of unique sound that is usually used by those in the EDM or Techno scene. As of right now Off Air focus is music and the creating of new sounds and experiences as well as solidifying itself as a record label. Off Air’s audience is, for the most part, the youth, but it also works on incorporating older generations by using old music or art to make new music and art so that everyone can relate in some way. In any form of design an important aspect is how well the design works with other elements it is being paired with. a designs ability to work rather than individual parts ensures or denies its overall success. throughout this post both bad a good design will be touched upon. Hard to look away              To start off the overall design of this poster is eye catching because of the color scheme. The person who made this poster decided to use black and white where the words are in white while the background is blacked out causing a contrast that is irresistible to the eye.   In addition, the way the words are arranged in a three-dimensional rectangle guides the eye from one end to the other end which keeps the viewers focus. To wrap up the whole poster the contrast between the information and the main visual gives you all the information you need while also using an interesting design that is fun, which keeps your attention.   In
